Riesling ready for harvest

2010 RIESLING

SUISUN VALLEY

WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
This is a medium-bodied wine with the fruity and floral aromas characertistic of Riesling leading to similar flavors in a dry style. The crisp, refreshing finish makes it a great wine to sip by itself or with meals.

APPELLATION:
Suisun Valley

VINEYARD:
The vineyard, located toward the northern part of Suisun Valley, features well established vines. The fruit typically ripens late in the season for a white variety, usually in October.

VINTAGE:
This was an experimental lot for us. It was our first time to get this fruit, and the first time we tried making a Riesling in the conditions our winery provides. We were encouraged by the results, and got this Riesling again in 2011.

VINIFICATION: Fermented entirely in small stainless steel containers, with no malolactic fermentation.

COMPOSITION:
Riesling 100%
