This is a medium-bodied wine with the fruity and floral aromas characertistic of Riesling leading to similar flavors in a dry style. The crisp, refreshing finish makes it a
great wine to sip by itself or with meals.
The vineyard, located toward the northern part of Suisun Valley, features well established vines. The fruit typically ripens late in the season for a white variety, usually in October.
This was an experimental lot for us. It was our first time to get this fruit, and the first time we tried making a Riesling in the conditions our winery provides. We were encouraged by the results, and got this Riesling again in 2011.
