Barrel Aging

2006 PETITE SIRAH

SUISUN VALLEY

WINEMAKER'S NOTES:
Blackberry and plum flavors highlight this wine, which combines bright fruit with balanced acidity and integrated tannins. It combines the deep color and robust qualities of Petite Sirah with a supple texture, to make a versatile and inviting wine.

APPELLATION:
Suisun Valley

VINEYARDS:
The grapes were mainly from a vineyard in the northern part of the valley, in a flat bench area along Mankas Corner Road.

VINTAGE:
This was one of the last lots to come in during the 2006 harvest. The long hang time and moderate yields contributed to the wine's complexity and structure, while maintaining the intensity of the fruit.

Petite Sirah 98%, Zinfandel 2%
